What Causes Stick Drift?
Standard thumbsticks read their position with small carbon wipers rubbing on a track. Over months of play, the track wears and dust gets in, so the stick reports movement even when you're not touching it.
Replacing the stick fixes it. For PS5 and Xbox Series controllers we fit TMR thumbsticks, which use magnetic sensors with no contact between the moving parts. No wear means no drift, ever.

How much does it cost to fix stick drift?
PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series controllers are £25 for one stick or £35 for both, using TMR sticks that never drift again. PS4 and Xbox One controllers are also £25 or £35. Switch Joy-Con sticks are £20 each.
Can you fix my controller while I wait?
Usually, yes. Most stick drift repairs take 30 minutes to an hour. Drop into our workshop at 12 Sefton Street, Litherland, L21 7LB.
Is it worth repairing a controller instead of buying a new one?
In most cases, yes. A drift repair costs £20 to £35, against £50 or more for a new controller. With TMR sticks, the repaired controller is less likely to drift than a new one.
What are TMR thumbsticks?
TMR (Tunnel Magneto-Resistive) sticks read stick position magnetically, with no parts rubbing together, so they do not wear out and cannot develop drift. We fit them to PS5 DualSense and Xbox Series X|S controllers.
Do you collect controllers?
Free collection is available on repairs of £50 or more, so a single controller is usually best dropped in. If you have several controllers or a console repair too, we can collect them together.
